Protecting the safety of water, which is indispensable to daily life

Water Quality Analysis

Drink, play, treat, and dump. Water is indispensable to our lives. Whether it’s clean or dirty, you can leave water inspection to us, a registered measuring and certifying service provider for building drinking water quality testing. You can use our service to address concerns about the quality of tap water or well water in your home.

Water Quality Analysis Inspection Menu

Drinking Water (tap water) Inspection

This is an important inspection to confirm the safety of drinking water (tap water). Periodic inspections based on the Building Management Law and inspections based on the Food Sanitation Law are performed. The quality of water used daily is not constant. It is safe to pay attention to color, turbidity, taste, and smell on a daily basis, and to test the water quality regularly once a year, even in private residences. We recommend an “11-item” test if you want to quickly check water contamination, and a “16-item” test that includes checking of heavy metals such as iron and lead in addition to the 11-item test, if you are concerned about the condition of your plumbing. We also offer other inspection items to meet your needs.

Legionella Bacteria Inspection

Legionella bacteria are a type of indigenous bacteria that live in the natural environment at water temperatures ranging from 20 to 50°C and multiply best in environments around 36°C. In an artificial environment, the bacteria generate in systems that circulate water or have a relatively high water temperature and can be inhaled from aerosols generated at jacuzzies, etc. If these bacteria proliferate, there is a risk of developing Legionnaires’ disease due to infection.

Periodic inspections are required by the Hotel Business Law, the Public Bath Houses Act, and various standards and ordinances related
to hygiene management.
In some cases, the inspection frequency may be set by the facility; please contact us for details.

Pool Water Quality Testing

We inspect water quality in accordance with “Sanitary Standards for Swimming Pools,” “School Environmental Sanitation Standards,” and local government ordinances. These will ensure that proper sanitation is maintained.

  • *1 Six items: pH value, turbidity, potassium permanganate consumed, colon bacillus, general bacteria, free residual chlorine
  • *2 This testing is performed when there are facilities that tend to generate aerosols, such as jacuzzies,
or when there are facilities with relatively high water temperatures.
  • *3 For pools open year-round and during the summer months, testing is performed from June to September.
For pools that are open at other times of the year, testing is performed when the water temperature is relatively high.
The contents may vary depending on the region. Please check with your local public health center, etc.

Public Bathhouse Water Quality Testing

Facilities with bathhouses (hotels, inns, welfare facilities, gym, etc.) are required to have bath water tested in accordance with the Public Bath Houses Act and local government ordinances. Since the testing varies depending on the usage of the facility and the condition of the equipment, we will propose the optimum test plan after hearing from you in detail.

  • *3 For bathtub water without a filter and with complete daily water replacement, the inspection should be done at least once a year.
For bathtub water used daily, the inspection should be done at least twice a year.
If the bathtub water is used daily and is not chlorinated, the inspection should be disinfected at least four times a year.
The frequency and content may vary by region, so please check with your local public health center.

Cooling Water Quality Testing

We inspect corrosion and scale trends according to water quality guidelines for refrigeration and air conditioning equipment. Water used in cooling towers installed on rooftops, etc. may gradually become dirty, resulting in inefficient cooling, corrosion, and scaling. In addition, cooling towers are prone to generation of Legionella bacteria, so care should be taken. We recommend that water quality testing be performed regularly to prevent problems in advance.

Miscellaneous Water Quality Testing

If a building falls under the category of “specified building” that is a building used by many people and includes a department store, commercial facility, or hotel, the Building Management Law applies. When reclaimed water from treated wastewater, well water, rainwater, etc. are used for landscape use such as sprinkling and fountains, or for miscellaneous use such as toilet flushing, it is obligated that water quality testing be conducted periodically. Inspection items differ depending on the application.

Leakage Analysis

By analyzing the water leaked from facilities, we can infer the type of water (rainwater, groundwater, tap water, domestic wastewater, or sewage). By narrowing down the type of water, the cause of leakage can be cleared up at an early stage. *We do not conduct leakage investigations. Thank you for your understanding.
